Villa Clara in Rome
Located in the heart of Rome near Villa Borghese, Villa Clara is a sumptuous historic estate that has been carefully restored, preserving its external structure with historical decorative elements. The interiors, on the other hand, have been reinvented in Art Deco style by interior designer Jaques Garcia with over 1000 m2 of marble, semi-precious stone surfaces, including rare amethyst panels, from Madagascar and the Urals, and a large collection of art. To make Villa Clara a comfortable and welcoming environment, the main objective of the lighting project was to respect the soft atmospheres desired by the interior design, which includes very dark colored coatings and a great opulence of decorations while guaranteeing the correct levels of illumination needed to carry out visual tasks and to properly appreciate the uniqueness of each individual work of art. In this regard studied ad hoc lighting solutions which for most parts involved the creation of customized lighting fixtures capable of blending in, in a tailor-made way, with the decorations as in the case of the miniaturized recessed spotlights to be set in the golden rosettes placed at the intersection of the roof beams.
